Client Consolidated Edison, Inc.
Completion Date June 2021
Location Battle Mountain, Nevada

MYR Energy was the prime contractor for the engineer-procure-construct (EPC) delivery of this 132-MWdc photovoltaic (PV) plant, which features 100MWh/25MWdc of battery energy storage for four hours. The facility’s 25 megawatts of battery capacity is among the nation’s largest DC-coupled combined solar and battery storage systems. As part of NV Energy’s Integrated Resource Plan, Battle Mountain will bring 1,001 MW of new renewable energy projects to Nevada.

Per the scope, MYR Energy procured the trackers, inverters, battery energy storage system (BESS), and balance of system (BOS); installed the piling, tracker, AC/DC cable, wire, and module; and conducted commissioning and testing.
