KEVIN DETERS, PE

President, MYR Energy Services & Group Vice President, MYR Group

Kevin joined MYR Energy (MYRE) in 2019 as president with overall leadership responsibility of the large projects, engineer-procure-construct (EPC), and solar divisions. With global leadership experience in renewable energy and energy delivery projects, his 26-year-career encompasses experience in development and financing through construction and operations. 

Before joining MYRE, Kevin was vice president of engineering and construction for Pattern Energy, where he oversaw large-scale, worldwide renewable energy projects. He also served as vice president and general manager for M. A. Mortensen Co., establishing its high-voltage transmission business from concept to profitability within 18 months. A professional engineer (PE) registered in Minnesota, Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Iowa State University. 

DAN BIERE

Vice President, Operations

Dan Biere, who joined MYR Energy (MYRE) in 2020 as vice president of operations, leads complex design, engineering, and construction management of utility scale renewable energy projects. With more than 40 years of experience, Dan has proven operational expertise in contract negotiations, administration, subcontractor management, scheduling, value engineering and constructability, risk analysis, and financial project controls. As a leader, he emphasizes mentoring client-focused teams to deliver quality, on-time, and on-budget projects safely. 

Before joining MYRE, Dan was vice president of operations for M. A. Mortensen’s Solar & Emerging Renewable Group. During this time, he helped develop and grow the annual business revenue to more than $330 million in five years. Additionally, Dan held executive leadership roles at HNTB and Construction Services, Inc. He has a Bachelor of Science in civil and construction engineering from Iowa State University.

PHILIP DAVIS

District Manager, EPC

Philip’s electrical construction experience spans 20-plus years, focusing on high-voltage power for utility and renewable customers. He joined MYR Energy (MYRE) in 2019 as district manager, spearheading the pursuit and execution of engineer-procure-construction (EPC) projects. Philip establishes valuable partnerships with customers to understand their needs and efficiently deploy MYR Group subsidiary resources for their engineer-procure-construct (EPC) projects. 

Before joining MYRE, Philip held various leadership roles at M. A. Mortenson Co., including project and construction executive and senior project manager, supervising utility and renewable energy generation projects. Before that, he worked for Wasatch Electric, A Division of Dynalectric, where he held several roles of increasing responsibility. 

Philip holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with commercial emphasis, and a Bachelor of Science in construction management technology from Weber State University. He began his construction career in the field working as an apprentice electrician. 

KENNETH SCHLEH

District Manager, Large Projects Group

Ken began his MYR Group career as a construction analyst in 2009. In 2010, he joined MYR Group subsidiary, The L.E. Myers Co. (L.E. Myers), where he held the roles of project engineer, project manager, and operations manager. In 2016, Ken was named district manager for L.E. Myers’ Central Region. Then in 2019, he became district manager for the Large Projects Group at MYRE, managing the district’s growth, development, safety, and financial performance. In this role, Ken’s focus is on building relationships, organizing district resources, executing large-scale projects, and developing talent.   

With nearly 15 years of electrical construction experience, Ken’s expertise is far-reaching, including customer, supplier, and management relations; reporting; scheduling; forecasting, and project auditing. He earned a Master of Business (MBA) from the Kelley School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in construction management from Michigan State University. Ken also holds certificates in general construction and Electrical Trade & Distribution (ET&D) Partnership from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). 

WENDY DAVIDSON

Vice President, Business Development

Wendy joined MYR Group as vice president of business development in 2020 where she drives strategic growth by supporting all the MYR Group subsidiaries in the markets they serve. Wendy leads a dynamic team that develops new opportunities, fosters client relationships, and implements effective business strategies that respond to changing market demands to further establish MYR Group’s position as an innovative partner in the clean energy transformation.

Throughout her 30-plus-year career, Wendy has held advisory and leadership roles in the energy and industrial construction markets. Before joining MYR Group, she led business development for Mortenson’s Wind Energy Group by building on her diverse experience gained in previous roles at Koch Industries and GE Capital, and founding her own consulting practice. Wendy holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Michigan Technological University.
